We stay in a flat in An der Kolonnade, just off Willhelmstrasse, which overlooks the site of the Fuhrer bunker. Directly below our kitchen window is the place where Hitler and Eva Braun's bodies were burned after they'd committed suicide.
It's now a small play area for children, and visited on a regular basis by parties of tourists.
