Fred the Shred has lost his gong

Sir Fred Goodwin has had his knighthood revoked. I actually feel sorry for him. As a CEO he was answerable to the RBS shareholders, and every decision he made would have been done so at their behest and with their approval. He's already become a pariah, and the removal of his honour is nothing more than a pointless gesture, another ignominy to carry on his shoulders. He'll be made to wear sack-cloth and ashes next.
Meanwhile, Jeffrey Archer, the well-known kerb-crawler and fraudster, still remains a Lord, and retains his influence in the Conservative Party, despite having served time in Her Majesty's prisons.
The man has no shame.
