It was revealed today that Danny Boyle, the mastermind behind the opening ceremony of the London Olympics, is to be made a life peer and given a seat in the government. He is to become Lord Boyle of the Isle of Dogs, and be responsible for the new department of Governmental Organisation in News, Art and Design (GONAD).
He was said to be totally shocked and completely overwhelmed by the news.
